The main gatehouse will serve over 1300 dwelling units which will be constructed over 6 phases. Umthunzi means ‘A place in the shade’ which led to an innovative tree design. The tree structures are identical but with their hexagonal shape and a 10° slope they could align and connect in a continuous undulating canopy.
